Arirang @ Sathorn - 04,08.11

Today is the last day before our long Songkran Holiday.  We planned to celebrate our holiday at the Normandy today, but we were unlucky, the restaurant was fully booked.  So we changed the plan to try the new French Resto name "Capsicum" on Narathiwas Road.  But when we got there, we had to change our mind.  The surroundings have a big influence on our restaurant selection.  It wasn't that bad, but it's just made us somewhat reluctant to walk in.  So we changed our destination to Arirang, our promising Korean Food which is not far away from there.

There is a lunch buffet promotion for all-you-can-eat Pork BBQ for 290 B per person.  We decided to go with the a la carte menu, since we love to have variety of food.  Today we ordered one marinated pork bbq, and one marinated beef ribs.  When you order two main bbq dishes, you'll get one free steamed egg.  :)  Good deal, eh?

Other than those BBQ dishes, we also ordered our favorite dish - Chap Chae - potato noodle stir fried with vegetables.  I'm not sure if the word "chewy" can be used to describe the noodle.  It's very well cook and very tasty, especially for those who love sweet taste.

Next is Ja Jang Mien - black bean noodle.  This is Poom's favorite dish.  I think the taste is ok, it's just not my favorite.  :)

This last dish is my all time Korean favorite - Pajeon - Korean pancake.  We ordered this dish from lunch menu which is cheaper than in the full menu.  I just found out that it happened to be a veggie pancake instead of what we normally have, the seafood pancake. I think it'll be better if we order it from the full menu, so that our pancake comes equipped with squid and some other meat.
