Zalute by Sorrento - 04.01.11

Zalute was recommended by my mom.  This restaurant is the same owner as Sorrento on Sathorn Road, they changed the name to Zalute after moving from Sathron to the new location.

There's a valet parking service for customers, so no worries about parking.

Okie, let's go straight to our interests.
I started the meal with Lemon Iced Tea.  I just happened to like the lemon iced tea not too long ago, say a month, before that my drink will always be Pepsi.  To me, I think iced tea is kinda healthier than Pepsi, don't you think?  It's just my cheap excuse to get away from drinking pure water.  Anyway, here at Zalute, they served Iced Tea with the tea ice  ...  LOL... a nice drink.

Bruchetta was served to each customer to call their appetites.

We ordered Caesar Salad.  We're quite surprised to see they had a side table cooking for Ceasar Salad during lunch hours.  They started from scratch, even the dressing.

These are the ingredients for Caesar Salad.  Now she's making the dressing.

Here's the finished product.  Looks good, eh?

Next was the Hokkaido Scallops with Sabaglione Cream & Porcini.  Looks good.  The scallops was served over the bed of cream porcini, and topped with some egg sauce.  There was crispy bacon in between the scallops.  This dish was ok, it was kinda a little too creamy to me.  The bacon helps a lot.

This was my favorite.  Foie Gras with baby onions.  The Foie Gras was well prepared and went very well with the caramelized baby onions.

Here comes the main dish.  Grilled Lamb Tenderloin.  The lamb was tender and nice.

For pasta dish, we ordered Spaghetti Ai Gamberoni.  Spaghetti with sun-dried tomato, porcini and prawn.  A bit spicy.
